Abstract

The article deals with the issue of involving parents in learning process, development process and social integration process of children with special educational needs, including children with severe speech impairments. The necessity to involve parents in the construction and implementation of correction and development work on overcoming speech underdevelopment and the peculiarities of mental development that deepen it is substantiated. The author describes the experience of providing psychological support to parents and increasing their psychological and pedagogical competence. The author offers a scheme for building cooperation with parents in inclusive resource centers. The author identifies indicators of the effectiveness of accompanying a family of a child with speech impairment.
