Abstract
The issue of evaluation of educational achievements of students with special educational needs is covered. Innovative methods for assessing the educational achievement of students with special educational needs are outlined. It is determined that the assessment should reflect the degree of achievement of the students' learning goals, record the mistakes made, indicate their causes, contribute to overcoming the mistakes. Also, to be an instrument of adequate pedagogical assessment and a means of self-assessment of the student, to help the student to independently apply assessment criteria, to analyze the causes of failures and to understand the conditions for success.
