Abstract
The purpose of the article is to inform the professional community about the new working position of "School Special Teacher", which for the first time since 2018 is being introduced in the Slovak Republic in kindergarten in the framework of the national project PRIM - Project Inclusion in kindergarten. The work of the school special teacher in kindergarten is aimed at optimizing the educational and personal development of children (with a focus on children with special educational needs). The key role of educators is the implementation of inclusive diagnosis of children in kindergarten before enrollment in the 1st grade of secondary school. The elementary school year, with the help of step-by-step diagnosis tools and further effective stimulation, will help accelerate the development of preschool children with disabilities and the socially disadvantaged, which is consistent with the foundations of the state philosophy of inclusive education.
