Abstract

Early intervention programs are targeted at children and their parents and are aimed at improving child development and improving family quality of life. Early intervention programs should include the whole process, from identifying problems with the child's development, conducting a multidisciplinary assessment, developing and conducting individual development and support programs, and the process of transitioning the child to a preschool (or other) institution.
