Abstract

The textbook is compiled in accordance with the curriculum for literary reading for the 5th grade of general secondary education institutions with minority languages. It implements all the content lines of the program aimed at forming the reading competence of students. The textbook contains works of oral folk art, classics of Ukrainian literature and contemporary artists, winners of literary competitions, information on the theory of literature, interesting biographical materials about writers. The methodological apparatus of the textbook covers cognitive tasks, focused on improving reading techniques, enrichment of vocabulary, the formation of communicative competence of fifth-graders, the development of literary and creative activity.
