Abstract
Based on a comprehensive analysis of works, the main characteristics of parents' upbringing potential have been characterized as a set of real and potential opportunities for social and pedagogical self-organization of the family, which allows purposefully meeting the diverse needs of family members, especially in interpersonal communication. Determined to be the most effective educational means for working with families of IDPs.
