Abstract

The article states that one of the most important systemic problems of the socio-economic sector of the Ukrainian state-building for many decades has been the development of a civil society in which citizens and their unions at a highly developed level will systematically interact with each other, realizing their own rights and obligations, in accordance with the laws of Ukraine. The focuses on the importance and feasibility of enhancing civic competence of future teachers in order to promote the development of civil society in Ukraine. The methodological basis of the research, which consists of personality-oriented, competence and activity approaches, is revealed. The competence approach is expressed in the aspiration of the future teacher to master the knowledge, skills and values, formation of values and other professional qualities that determine his ability to successfully carry out educational, professional and social activities. According to the personality-oriented approach, the formation of the civic competence of the future teacher is aimed at the development of his personality during the subject-subject interaction of all participants of the educational process. The content of a activity approach is to consider the future educator in forming civic competence as an active subject who plans and acts according to his or her own values. The psychological conditions aimed at improving the efficiency of ensuring the implementation of actions to enhance the civic competence of future teachers are identified and analyzed. The necessity of creating specially designed circumstances of the external and internal environment, encouraging future teachers to acquire civic knowledge, abilities and practical skills, ways of thinking, professional, philosophical and civic qualities, moral and ethical values actively and effectively, is indicated. Psychological conditions aimed at improving the effectiveness of ensuring the implementation of actions to enhance civic competence of future educators are analyzed.
