Abstract
The paper analyzes the current state of raising the prestige of the teaching profession. It is emphasized that the priorities of the Ministry of National Education of Poland are to promote the quality work of pedagogical teachers and to provide appropriate conditions for its implementation. Thus, the current trends in the development of school education in Poland include the changes in pay and standardization of work, increasing the requirements for the professional development of teachers, developing mechanisms for their career growth, which ultimately will lead to higher prestige of the profession. In particular, changes in the requirements for teachers and teaching staff meet the requirements and needs of the education market and the global economy.
