Abstract

Senior researcher at the Institute of Psychology GS Kostiuk NAPS of Ukraine, Laboratory of Psychodiagnostics and Scientific Psychological Information, Tsarenko Lyudmila Grigorievna in the article «Peculiarities of the experience of psychotrauma in a military conflict» considered the peculiarities of the use of the concept of «psychotrauma» as well as the specifics of the experience of traumatic and stressful situations during a military conflict. Problems associated with psychotropic and stressful conditions in Ukraine in recent years have become relevant for people affected by the conflict, members of their families, and for those who provide psychological and social assistance, psychological support, as well as for psychologists of scientists, teachers of psychology. On the basis of theoretical analysis of foreign and domestic studies, the definition of psychotrauma as a condition and the definition of psychotrauma as a situation is considered; the difference between the concepts of «mental trauma» and «psychological trauma», «psychotrauma» and «stress», «event» and «situation», an «extreme» and an «emergency» situation it indicated. The characteristics of the psychotrauma as a situation / event are given, types of life situations are considered in accordance with the level of their subjective complexity and influence on mental health: comfortable, problem, difficult (extreme, extraordinary), hyper-extreme. The typology of traumatic events and situations is presented.
