Abstract

The aim of the article: describ in go fempiricalinvestigationresults about correlation between practical psychologists motivation toself-improvement and their individual-psychological features. Research was doing with questionnaire “16 PF” R.Kettell, methodology "Study of Communicative Installations" and author’s methodology “Expert employee rating” (it can show some features and tendentious of real professional behavior and, in particular, show presence/absence of ambition to the self-improvement). Showed the presence of connection between having of ambition to the self-improvement and: high level of development emotional-voluntary qualities (such as a self-control, accuracy, discipline, ability to control their emotions and behavior); high level of communication qualities development (such as sincerity in relationships, emotionality and courage in communication, kindness). Comparison of “psychological portraits” of psychologists, who has or has not the ambition to the self-improvement allowed content to fill the presentationabout results of professional self-improvement. Although there are many scientific works what is showing problems of self-development, self-improvement, self-creation, but modern informational society makes such significant changes to the processes of self-development that their further research does not lose its relevance. Results of investigation used for professional training the specialists of sociological professions and for increase the efficiency of their work.
