Abstract

The article emphasizes the need for the formation of life’s value in modern adolescents, which is conditioned, on the one hand, by negative sociocultural tendencies, and on the other hand, dangerous socio-psychological phenomena in the teenage environment. The appropriate theoretical and methodological teacher’s readiness for this process as one of the pedagogical conditions of ensuring the formation of adolescents' value of life has been noted. A questionnaire was conducted in order to identify the components of the teacher's readiness for the formation of adolescent's value of life to clarify: the level of comprehension by teachers of general secondary education institutions the role of educational activity, the significance of value of person's life problem, forms, methods of forming this value in adolescents, the understanding of the cooperation in this process between teachers and parents. The analysis of the empirical study shows that the problem of forming the value of life in schoolchildren as a holistic phenomenon has not been recognized yet by the pedagogical community at the proper level, and therefore there is a need to increase the readiness of the teacher to form the value of life in modern adolescents. This readiness should be based on the following principles of educational activity as humanism, natural accordance, cultural accordance, liveliness, dialogue, etc. The article defines structure components of the teacher's readiness for the formation of the value of life. They are: a proper awareness of the importance of the life’s value forming problem in modern adolescents by teachers; the improvement of forms, methods and ways of educational process with adolescents; teacher’s promoting in improving the pedagogical culture of parents.
