Abstract

Preprint "Analysis of leading domestic and foreign experience in assessing the quality of higher education in the context of European integration: analytical materials (part I)" prepared on the basis of the results of the first stage of scientific research on "Mechanisms for assessing the quality of higher education in the context of European integration" by a team of scholars of the department in higher education of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. At this research stage, the mechanisms for evaluating the quality of higher education are theoretically substantiated. The paper considers the domestic and foreign experience, examines the appropriate evaluation mechanisms, formulates the theoretical bases of such assessment as a component of ensuring and improving the quality of higher education in the context of European integration and global globalization. Effective approaches, systematic indicators and criteria for the creation of mechanisms for assessing the quality of higher education are identified. The principles of effective policy and strategy of developing the system of providing and improving the quality of higher education and transformation of higher education management in the context of forming a leadership culture of competitive quality of higher education in Ukraine are substantiated. The publication will be useful for teachers, researchers, supervisors and applicants for higher education, as well as others interested in the modernization of this educational unit.
