Abstract
The article is devoted to the review of modern tendencies in the management of general educational institutions. The theoretical analysis of management tendencies is carried out, the analysis of the state of management of educational institutions, the choice and implementation of forms, methods, means, mechanisms in the practice of management activities, determinants of the factors that ensure the success of management activities is provided. In today's Ukraine, the education system is constantly evolving, and it is characterized by constant renewal and self-development, the introduction of innovative approaches, new conditions. The article covers issues of innovative activity in the management of general educational institutions, the importance of planning as a function of management, the implementation of the concept and plan of school development. The article reveals the peculiarities of professional competence of the head of a comprehensive educational institution, where children with special educational needs studying, which contribute to the effective development of a modern school. The professional competence of managers on a scientific basis is theoretically substantiated. The main features of the professional competence of managers at the present stage of the management of general educational institutions are highlighted. It has been revealed that the study of the professional competence of the head of a comprehensive educational institution should ensure not only the successful functioning of the institution, but also its qualitative development in the conditions of modernization and democratization of society. The article emphasizes the urgency of the issue of training managers of a new type – education managers, since there are virtually no managers in educational institutions. Changing the director's, team mindset in education for a managerial is a priority task. A number of priority measures for improving the management of educational institutions are proposed.
