Abstract

Hub – school as a new quality of Ukrainian secondary education needs highly developed managerial competencies of school principals. From the point of view of scientific approach these competencies include key ones, professional & specific managerial, which are developed in the process of in – service education. A very important part of this teaching is predictability of its results. A new program of in – service education of hub – school principals, which was created & implemented in the University of Education Management of the National Academy of Education Sciences of Ukraine, shows the advantages of new approaches & conceptual bases of the teaching which is oriented on the democratic changes in the society, the process of modernization of the secondary education, a hub – school as a way of equal access to quality education.
