Abstract
The article covers the theoretical and practical achievements of Ukrainian scholars in the field of psychology of education, connected with the development of personality oriented school education in the first decades of Ukrainian independence. It is substantiated that Ukraine is developing a new post-non-classical model of education, according to which the development of potentials and personality capabilities, the process of personal’s creative self-actualization and self-realization (a personally oriented model) is recognized as the value. Studies of Ukrainian scholars (G. Ball, I. Bekh, M. Borishevsky), which justify the establishment of a humanistic paradigm of subjectivity in education, are analyzed. It shown that in the psychological studies of the student's identity the methodology of the activity approach (non-classical paradigm) was preserved.
