Abstract
One of the urgent directions of modernization of national education and effective methods of formation of key competences of students is the introduction in the institutions of general secondary education of innovative technologies of the New Ukrainian School. These technologies include STEM education, which is called the most up-to-date and promising educational trend in the world. This technology has become particularly widespread in the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Korea and other countries where STEM education programs are available. Every year it is becoming more and more popular in the Ukrainian school.
