Abstract

The textbook is intended for the formation of subject competencies in accordance with the current State standard of primary education, the Concept of “New Ukrainian School” and the educational program of the course “Hebrew Language”. The manuscript of the textbook successfully passed the textbook competition and was recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (order No. 407 of March 28, 2019). The content of the textbook is aimed at mastering the literacy of the Hebrew language, the formation of conditionally speech and language skills, information about the culture and traditions of the Jewish people. Speech topics are selected taking into account areas and topics defined in the program (personal, social and educational) and expand the students' ideas about the world around them. The textbook material contributes to the formation and development of speech, language, socio-cultural and activity competence. In addition, the textbook selected educational material for the formation of cultural competence, as well as material for physical education minutes, which will contribute to the development of health-saving competence of students. The pre-period is devoted to the formation of ideas about language units of various levels (sentences, words, syllables, sounds). For this purpose, already on the first pages of the primer, models of sentences, syllabic and sound models of words are given. Pages 8 to 31 are devoted to introducing diacritics (vowels) to indicate vowels (A, E, I, O, U). The material is constructed in such a way as to carry out work from sound to letter: to name a word according to the drawings, pronounce a chain of sounds or individual sounds of a word (based on this sound model), highlight the one that is the subject of consideration among them, remember the diacritic mark (vowel), which stands for this sound. It is important that among the diacritical signs presented in this part of the textbook, there are options for writing this or that sound, which allows you to read syllables with hard and soft consonants, with diphthongs, and form an idea of the syllable principle of writing. On pages 34 - 119 there is material for students to master all the letters of the Hebrew alphabet to indicate consonants, to form reading skills. On each of them, drawings, working on which, students first listen, emit a certain sound, pronounce words (separately, as part of phrases and sentences), and then learns to read them. For the formation of reading skills, syllable tables, groups of words, small texts are offered; interesting material was selected (didactic games, tasks with a logical load, puzzles, proverbs, poems, audio material) for group, pair and independent work, etc.). The developed sequence of introducing letters in the textbook allows students to read individual words and sentences already in the alphabetical period. This order is also successfully correlated with the calligraphic principle, which allows you to simultaneously enter learning to write from the simplest elements to the conscious writing of words, phrases, sentences in the alphabetical period and small connected sentences in the post-alphabetical period. The textbook also developed material for mastering such features as excellent spelling of some letters depending on their position in the word (at the beginning, in the middle and at the end), different graphic designations of some of the same sounds of the Hebrew language. The final part of the textbook, the post-book period, (p. 120 - 143) contains interesting texts for reading, listening and discussion, among which are the works of famous children's Jewish poets and writers who were born in Ukraine.
