Abstract

Personal autonomy based on such personal characteristics as the ability to defend one's own views and ideas; overall positive self-attitude, self-esteem, belief in one's own strengths, abilities, energy, and the ability to accept both positive quilities and disadvantages. Personal autonomy does not mean selfishness, rejection of other people, on the contrary, a truly autonomous person is able to establish warm relationships with others and strive for such relationships.
