Abstract
One of the objectives of the educational program of elementary schools with the language of teaching ethnic minorities is the formation of key competencies among students, among which the researchers singled out the communicative component. This is especially emphasized in the content of Ukrainian language textbooks for schools of national minorities. After all, students should learn Ukrainian as a state language, as a means of interethnic communication. Since fluent knowledge of Ukrainian for other peoples is one of the prerequisites for successful socialization of the individual, its active inclusion in the cultural and social life of society, as well as a testimony to the culture of the person himself.
