Abstract

The study found that modern teaching books for Ukrainian schools in the diaspora in the United States have their own specifics and specific tasks. One of the important tasks faced by the author when creating a textbook for Ukrainian-language schooling abroad is the linguistic adaptation of texts, which, first of all, must be understandable for students. It is noted that a special role in forming the Ukrainian identity of the younger generation of foreign Ukrainians belongs to the Ukrainian language.
