Abstract

The article covers the life and creative path of the famous scientist, teacher, scholar of Slavic philology, and history of M.O. Maximovich (1804 - 1873). The research was carried out on materials from the fund of rare editions of the DNPB of Ukraine to them. V. O. Sukhomlynsky, editions, which characterize the scientific achievements of the scientist, are presented.
