Abstract

The article found that the ideas of Sukhomlinsky, imbued with faith in the inevitability of the introduction of a personality-oriented strategy of education, excited the educational opinion, contributed to the spread of humanistic tendencies in the then upbringing. It is proved that the purely educational meaning of the teacher’s heritage, freed from political-ritual phrases, is an example of a universal educational concept that does not lose relevance, for it is based on humanistic universal values. Reading the texts of Sukhomlinsky proves that the universal educational values ​​he proclaimed were not subordinated to the party imperative and testify to the confession of universal values ​​to them. This is a manifestation of the views indicated by the talent of foresight.
