Abstract

The requirements of the Typical Educational Program for the formation of a full-fledged reading skill are analyzed; the current situation of its becoming younger schoolchildren. The social and genetic factors that influence the peculiarities of the development of cognitive processes in students and form the basis of activity during reading are substantiated. The emphasis was placed on the necessity of developing individualized teaching methods that would contribute to the further development of various characteristics of reading skills in students with a sufficient and high level of its formation, as well as corrective adaptive techniques for children with individual psychological peculiarities.
