Abstract

The author reviews the views of Academician S. Honcharenko on the fundamentalization of education. The scholar believed that the fundamentalization of education should be regarded as a didactic principle and a leading imperative of modern educational reforms. He emphasized the importance and urgency of the problem of the fundamentalization of education, since only fundamental education provides a universal knowledge that creates an opportunity to navigate in any new environment.
