Abstract

The source of the article is protocols of psychological seminars Pavlyska school that are stored in the archive Vasyl Sukhomlynsky Pedagogical and memorial museum. The seminar was acting under the direction Vasyl Sukhomlynsky in 1965—1970. On the basis of protocols of meetings seminars (Vasyl Sukhomlynsky reports and solutions of the seminar), highlights the views Vasyl Sukhomlynsky the problem needs pupil, proved that the pedagogue considers the problem of psycho-pedagogical aspect, linking with the category of «needs» concepts such as «desire», «whim», «pleasure», «responsibility», «discipline» and so on. Is accented that culture needs of the pupil, according to Vasyl Sukhomlynsky depends on the harmony of desires and responsibilities, and the main factor of cultural upbringing needs is work, during which there is a determination by the needs and desires of the pupil. Author reconstructed classification needs by Vasyl Sukhomlinsky: material or vital needs, spiritual needs (among them first — the need for knowledge of the world and ourselves in this world) and the need for another person. Article includes a list minutes of meetings of the psychological seminar Pavlyska school for 1965-1970.
