Abstract
In article the general approaches before formation of natural-science competence of seniors by means of the textbook which according to the author, has to consider its features, structure, criteria and stages of or motion are considered. Thus natural-science competence of seniors is considered by the author as system of the knowledge, abilities, abilities and the valuable relations acquired by pupils during studying of subjects of a natural-science cycle and are mobilized forth solution of problems of everyday life corresponding to age of the pupil and level of its intellectual development. The contents of the text book have to promote that information stated in it was acquired by pupil sand are integrated into their knowledge of the nature which in turn, are integrated into the mental schemes promoting process of knowledge form scientifi c outlook, scientifi c style of thinking, a natural-science picture of the world.
