Abstract
The attention in the article is focused on the impotence and expediency of using gaming technology in conditions of reforming the national education system while studying the STEM subjects. The article highlights the opinions of philosophers, thinkers, scientists on the definition of «game», analyzes the current approaches to the use of gaming technology in education, defines existing kinds of games and game technologies, provides its classification, reveales principles of scientific experiments with children, gives examples of using computer games in STEM-education.
