Abstract

The author considers the didactic potential of the course «Literature of the East» in the system of profile education of upper secondary school pupils, taking into account the updating of the content of education, the needs of the individual and society. The program of the «Literature of the East» course provides a great opportunity for the creativity of the teacher. It is proposed to widely apply interactive knowledge transfer techniques. Educational themes are permeated with the ideas of the dialogue of cultures, humanism, peace, charity, tolerance.
