Abstract

The theses indicate that the modern society has inherent values of individualism and self-realization, which could not but affect the destruction of the traditional patriarchal family. In Ukraine, as in the world, the boundaries of the phenomenon of family and marriage are gradually eroded, which is, in particular, due to the problem of traditional attitudes towards paternity and (not) paternity. It is also important that, in the 21st century, the concept of a family is no longer required to register a marriage, because the partnership (concubine) or partnership is the world norm. Konkubinat (childless family) is an example of a new type of modern family with a radical change in family values.
