Abstract
Possibilities of using situational tasks in the implementation of the competence approach in teaching biology of schoolchildren are considered. Examples of situational tasks and exercises as means formed of key and subject biological competences of students are shown. Pedagogical reference-points are indicated for constructing of situatioonal tasks.
