Abstract

The article presents the process of source heuristics a problem of psychological and pedagogical characteristics of the pupil as a basis for an individual approach in 1940-1980's. Identified sources systematized into three groups, representing the sequence of development of the investigated problem: the study of pupil, compilation of findings in the psychological and educational characteristics, the construction of individual approach to a student on the basis of this data. Highlight subgroups sources that represent stages implementation problems in educational reality: formulation and theoretical development in the thesis, in-depth study of the scientific-research works (monographs and scientific articles), recommendations for practical implementation in methodological writings, synthesis and dissemination of lessons learned in educational periodicals. Representativeness of the generated source base is justified as a result of source analysis and synthesis, taking into account the socio-cultural context.
