Abstract

The article presents the content and structure of the program promoting professional self-fulfilment of teachers. It consists of two consecutive stages: general and individual. The program general stage is designed for twenty-seven academic hours (9 classes for 3 academic hours) and includes 4 blocks: organizational, diagnostic, forming-developing, monitoring. The individual stage, consisting of three blocks, involves individual practical work with a teacher (some teachers) depending on their diagnostic results, and provides an individualized selection of certain techniques and methods aimed at professional self-fulfilment of this particular specialist. The program aim is to raise teachers’ interest in their own professional work; their satisfaction with their profession and work; expressiveness of the values ​​of a self-actualizing person; internal professional motivation; their ability to establish quickly contacts with other people, and their professional self-efficacy. The following methods and techniques were used to solve the program tasks: methods of positive psychotherapy (parables, metaphors), conversations, relaxation methods, role games, brainstorming, tasks for self-knowledge, and etc. Also the program training sessions include: a) role games (simulation of different situations); b) group exercises-discussions; c) training exercises with further discussion and analysis of the obtained results. We should note that each psychological exercise or exercise-discussion contributes to simultaneous solving of not one, but several tasks, contributing to achievement of the program main goal. Psycho-physiological support for the specialists’ self-fulfilment should be carried out directly by practical psychologists having necessary qualifications for this, in close cooperation with the management of a corresponding educational institution.
