Abstract
The article reveals the essence of the concept of responsible civil position. The basic theoretical approaches in modern domestic and foreign pedagogical science concerning its formation are defined. The purpose of the article is to determine the degree of formation of responsible citizenship among students and teachers' readiness to implement social and pedagogical support for its formation. In the process of research the following methods were used: questionnaire, survey, method of unfinished sentences. The analysis of the results was carried out on the basis of criteria and indicators of formation of responsible citizenship: cognitive-value, emotional-motivational, behavioral-activity and determined the levels of its formation among adolescents: high, medium, low. According to the results of the analysis of scientific sources, the definition of responsible citizenship was refined as an integrative quality of personality, which is characterized by a high degree of citizenship and legal culture, is combined with civil consciousness, the desire for positive self-realization, for moral and volitional qualities and feelings, as well as for civil actions, behavior. On the basis of the presented results of empirical research the value orientations of adolescents, understanding of their social roles and attitude to them, the level of implementation of the components of responsible citizenship in practice are determined. Special attention on the results of the diagnostic study was focused on determining the level of awareness of teachers about the concept of responsible citizenship and readiness to implement its purposeful formation. The results of the study allow to draw conclusions about the need for socio-pedagogical support of adolescents with a low level of formation of responsible citizenship.
