Abstract
The content in the manuscript of the textbook is divided into sections aimed at systematizing the teaching material in the lyceum students. His structural and content content is selected and organized on the basis of competent, person-oriented, curriculum and activity approaches. The interweaving of these approaches and the block principle of presentation of the material is manifested in many aspects, for example, the illustrative material and the structural blocks of the paragraphs are maximally involved in the educational process through a system of tasks and questions of the activity character, which are located along with the corresponding structural elements. Each paragraph begins with questions of activating character that will help students to orientate on a certain topic of the lesson. The conclusions at the end of the paragraphs are arranged in such a way as to motivate the student to formulate more generalized, self-generated generalizations. Asking for a self-checking of a person-oriented character and differentiated by levels of complexity will help the student to self-identify with the level of studying of the educational material. Additional and interesting materials after the paragraphs allow the student to motivate the student to more deeply and thoroughly work out some of the problems of geographic direction. The main text of the textbook is presented in the manuscript at a high educational and scientific level, and is accessible and comprehensible to students of the 8th grade. New and obscure terms are available and explained in the "Assistant Dictionary" included in the section of the section where the relevant term is considered. The contents of the manuscript are based on modern and up-to-date material.
