Abstract

In the informational and analytical materials authors present results of the collective research of the department of foreign systems of pedagogical and adult education of Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the National Academy of Education Sciences of Ukraine concerning the development of lifelong pedagogical education in the developed countries of the world. Analyzed the peculiarities of training and further professional development of teachers in the following areas: legislative support; structure, content, forms, methods and technologies of professional teachers training; centers for professional development of teachers; conditions for entry into professional activity of young teachers. Offered recommendations on the practical use of constructive ideas of foreign experience in updating the national system of lifelong pedagogical education.
