Abstract

The results of the research aimed at studying modern approaches, development and testing of tools for assessing readership literacy, which in modern interpretation are the most important component of the operational component of key communicative competence, are highlighted. According to the generalized results, the level of students' readership skills formation (of grades 5 and 9) and was determined and the difficulties, which arose in students during solving tasks, were analyzed.
