Abstract
The paper describes the result of the research on the modeling of the mathematics lesson destined to forme the competence of calculate in elementary school. The author explains the notions of "competence to calculate", "calculation activity" ; describes the influence of the type of cognitive activity of pupils on the choice of the lesson model, the specifics of the internal and external model of each lesson ; determines the directions of the organisation of pupil's calculation activity and the methods of their implementation.
