Abstract
Modern trends in the development of society and the aspiration of Ukraine to integrate into the European community determine the strategic directions of modernization of education in Ukraine. In the Department of Mathematical and Informatics Education of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, research works are being carried out aimed at updating the normative basis and methodology of education, modifying the methods of constructing the content of education, developing innovative models of educational content; Improvement and modernization of educational and methodological support for mathematics training in the context of implementing a competent approach.
