Abstract

The article deals with the problems of improving the state structure, improving the mechanism, optimizing the structure and functions of public administration at the present stage of state-building. The processes of decentralization and their influence on the consolidation of Ukrainian society are analyzed. It emphasizes the necessity of social integration by forming a united political nation in Ukraine, optimizing the relations between the center and the regions, developing local self-government, establishing a civil society and promoting the activities of its institutions.
