Abstract

The article is a study of the formation of local geography competence in the classroom physical geography of Ukraine. The objectives of scientific research - to analyze the features of the formation of local geography competence in the classes of physical geography of Ukraine. Define place of study of local geography in the formation of educational competencies of the student. The methods and methods that are optimal for the formation of local geography competence in the classes of physical geography of Ukraine are determined, the personal-activity approach, problem approach in learning theory, the application of innovative technologies, including interactive, communications, design and research activities. That is, psychological and pedagogical methodological conditions are created which activate the creative potential of students, which contributes to the improvement of the quality of geographical education.
