Abstract

The article raises the urgent problem of the formation of the geographical picture of the world and the scientific outlook of students at the present stage of society development, emphasizes the importance of geographical education in this process. The author describes the planned study aimed at revealing the level of the formation of geographical knowledge and the views of students. A theoretical analysis of similar studies existing in the world and Ukrainian practice was carried out.
