Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the development of the academic giftedness of schoolchildren. The notion of an academically gifted student as a subject of educational and cognitive activity is given. The structure of the student's academic giftedness is specified. The person-oriented approach is grounded as a condition for the formation of the subjectivity of an academically gifted schoolchild.
