Abstract

The external and internal conditions for the formation of subject biological competence of sixth grade students are singled out. The characteristic to the external conditions is given. These include teaching aids (didactic, educational, methodical, technical) that provide the implementation of a method of competence-oriented biology education. The internal conditions include age characteristics of the child, social experience and value orientations, goals and motives of education, which ensure a conscious activity focused on the formation of competence.
