Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of psychological aspects of examination of school textbooks. It has been established that the textbook should contribute to the formation of the scientific picture of the world, the formation of intellectual skills and cognitive processes, abilities, take into account student's age peculiarities, critical thinking.
