Abstract
The article discusses the impact of competence approach to the study of physics to professional self-determination of students. Proved that the need for polytechnic education due to the situation on the labor market, where the lack of highly skilled technicians. One of the requirements of the labor market to the level of professional readiness of specialists is the use of different techniques. Modern man has daily use various devices and equipment, office and home appliances, programmable equipment in the production, mobile devices and communications equipment, computers. In order to effectively and safely use the entire range of technology, any person, regardless of scope should know the principles of engineering to realize its value. According competence approach to teaching physics should be formed Polytechnic component of subject competence in physics secondary school students, namely: • value orientation - a harmonious relationship between man and technology; • polytechnic knowledge - knowledge of the principles of technology, for safe use it; • polytechnic skills (graphics, computing, measurable, research, diagnostic, design, control and self-control, modeling, etc.); • practical experience. The process of professional self-determination implies an active role of the subject choice of profession, which accounts for its own actions, as related to current problems, desires, inclinations and abilities. This is possible only under conditions of adequate assessment and understanding of their individual students (including vocational skills required) and their correlation with the requirements of the individual characteristics of a particular profession.
