Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual problems of a competence-based approach implementation into school education i.e. formation of civic competence in high school students within the course of studying the history of Ukraine. The content of such notions as “competence”, “civic competence” defined more exactly.The structure of civic competence includes key knowledge (a cognitive component), civil attitudes and values ( an axiological component), civil skill ( a procedural component).
