Abstract
The program is designed for the younger students to take an elective (optional) integrated course in reading from Jewish and foreign literature, which can be introduced into the educational process as a course of compulsory and selective disciplines at the expense of a variant component of the curriculum of general education institutions with a Jewish ethnic component and / or studying Hebrew. The program content is designed for 35 hours in 1 class and 70 hours in grades 2-4 during the academic year. The developed curriculum corresponds to the current State standard of elementary general education, the literary reading program for primary school and promotes the implementation of language and cultural policy in the field of education of national minorities in Ukraine. The peculiarity of the developed course is the integration of class, extracurricular and family reading on the material of works of Ukrainian, Jewish and foreign literature. The explanatory note clearly sets out the purpose and objectives of the course of choice, outlines its specificity and the range of substantive and subjective competencies that students must learn in the practice of learning. The material of the program is based on the concentric principle and in accordance with the age and psychological and pedagogical characteristics of pupils of junior school age, which is reflected in the accessibility of themes, genre palette on world examples of Jewish and foreign literature, created in national languages and in translations. For each class, the content of the training material and requirements to the level of educational achievements of the students are elaborated in detail. The structure of content for each class includes the following sections: reading, forming and developing reading skills, literary propaedeutics, speech and creative activity. Positive features of the program are a wide representation of the genre-specific features of the educational material and the diversity of authors - representatives of different historical periods and literary trends, the relevance of the content of selected works to the age and psychological characteristics of students. Presented in the program works for study give an idea of the versatility of Jewish and foreign literature created in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ukrainian, Russian, English and, accordingly, Russian / Ukrainian translations, represent examples of ancient and modern children's literature. A characteristic feature of the content of the course "Charming windows in the world of reading" is the integration of existing programming material from Ukrainian and foreign literature with works of Jewish literature - pearls of world national literature, reflecting the close connection between Ukrainian and Jewish peoples and peoples of the world. The program contains widely-presented works by Jewish poets and writers who were born and worked in Ukraine: Sholom Aleichem, Khaim Nakhman Bialik, Levine Kipnys, Lev Kvitko, Ovsey Drisa, Miryam Yalan-Shtekelis; Israeli authors: Tova Gershkovich, Lea Goldberg, Dvoi Omer, Rivka Elitsur. Included in the program are selected works by the writers of the classics of Jewish literature Yitzhak Bashevis-Zinger, Shmuel Yosef Agnoh, statements from Aghad, Tories, Jewish fairy tales, parables, teachings, legends, popular science articles about Israel and Ukraine, stories and poems about Jewish national traditions and calendar holidays. Inclusion in the content of the program of this educational material contributes to the implementation of socio-cultural competence, enriching the outlook of students - citizens of the multicultural Ukrainian state. The program is clearly structured, based on scientifically sound principles, is relevant and promising. The program was approved for use by the educational and scientific methodological council on education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a letter from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated March 20, 2017 No. 2.1 / 12-Г-119.
