Abstract
The article focuses on the use of effective forms, methods and means of teaching Ukrainian language in the multicultural environment of living of its carriers. It is proved that the leading role in this process is given to the active interaction of teachers and pupils during oral communication based on specific situations through the dialogue, active use of language games, theatricality and dramatization. The samples of creative exercises and problem tasks, which contribute to the formation of language competences of pupils of bilingual schools, have been analyzed. It is proved that the successful teaching of the mother tongue in the multicultural environment assists the use of such techniques as parallel introduction of the texts of different types, support on the sample and pattern, comparison of popular science and artistic description of the one and the same subject, description with the use of control words, with the beginning, etc. It is established that language exercises that are directly targeted at the development of speech, influence the formation of concepts, feelings, attitudes and beliefs. Their goal is to help children to learn the vocabulary of the target language and to use it widely for academic, educational tasks, for everyday communication. Assimilation of the speech material and the practical mastery of them promotes compliance with the teacher the following pedagogical conditions: partial assistance to the pupils at a certain stage of their independent search activity; demonstration by the teacher of creative works, discussing them with the pupils; support of creative abilities of pupils, treating them as full value partners the pursuit of understanding; sincerity of the teacher’s behavior: the ability to openly rejoice in the success of their pupils, to empathize with failure and admit defeat; mastery of the emotions, showing emotional responses to the creative research of pupils, maintaining their interest in the work.
