Abstract

The article clarifies that in 1991/1992 there were 3364 general education establishments in Ukraine with Russian language education, which was 15.9% of the total number of schools. In 2009/2010 their number was already 0.8%. The number of schools in Hebrew has increased from 9 (1992) to 17 (2010), there were also 38 classes at other general education schools, where over 2180 students studied in Hebrew. In 2010 there were 1149 institutions with Russian language education (685 thousand students); studied Russian as a study subject - 1.24 million students, optional or in circles - 131 thousand people. It is proved that thanks to the organization of teacher training at the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute named after. MP Over 500 qualified teachers (including 300 Hebrew teachers) have been employed by Drahomanov (since 1992) and the International Solomon University (since 1993) for Hebrew schools to work.
