Abstract
The education system is one of the most important social institutions in any society. Its significance and efficiency of functioning serve as indicators of the level of development of the entire state. At this stage, there is a global reform of higher education, aimed at changing conceptual priorities, in seeking ways to integrate into the European system. One of the promising areas is the introduction of STEM-education, which involves the unification of science, aimed at the development of new technologies, on innovative thinking and the need for well-trained engineering staff. This requires the improvement of the whole system of education, and, accordingly, the teaching methods of disciplines, in particular physics, taking into account the requirements and features of STEM education. Accordingly, the role and place of STEM-technologies in the process of teaching physics is not well-grounded, the computer is combining with traditional approaches to student learning, there is no single classification of electronic teaching aids for institutions of higher education, in particular, pedagogical software tools, electronic textbooks, criteria have not been developed. evaluation of computer programs in physics and practical methods of their application in teaching, etc. The «STEM and Physics» OPP is considered, which is oriented on modern forms of training ensuring compatibility with traditional educational materials in full accordance with the documents regulating the content of education. It has been found that the use of the STEM approach in the educational process in physics allows to differentiate between training and individualization, taking into account individual peculiarities of memory, perception, and student thinking. Prospects for further research are the development of a methodology for teaching physics based on an integrated approach with the use of PPP in the context of the introduction of STEM-education in higher educational institutions technical profile.
